Default Steering wheel turned to the right

Hi, I have a new 2008 Civic LX and was wondering if anyone else is having problems with a misaligned steering wheel? When driving down the highway the wheel is at about the 1:00 position to the right. When driving around town it's only slightly off to the right. The card does not pull, shake or wobble. I have had it checked out twice at the dealership and they said nothing is wrong with it. The highways in Toronto are crowned but the wheel is pointed to the right no matter what side of the crown I'm driving on. You would think that if it's going to turn the wheel to the right when in the left lane then it should go the opposite the other side of the crown...but that's not the case.

Anyone know what's going on with this thing? The dealership has rotated the tires, checked the allignment and apparently all is well. Is it normal to have to hold the wheel to one side all the time when driving.

It's driving me nuts

If you don't get satisfaction, contact your regional supervisor for Honda. The steering wheel should be at 12:00 when going straight. It was misaligned at the factory.

Someone at the factory put it together wrong. They need to fix it for you. It is not a complicated adjustment to do.

For a small error in the wheel, adjust the tie rod ends in opposite directions on both sides. For example, car goes to the right with the wheel straight, so you want it to go more left. Turn the right tie rod out so the wheel moves to the left. Turn the left tie rod in so that wheel also goes to the left.

The important thing is to take exactly the same number of turns on both sides so that the toe-in is not affected. It would be a good idea to put the car on an alignment rack and check it afterwards anyway.
