Default Stereo won't play when wet

Here's the deal. I drive my 01 Civic LX coupe out in the rain, my stereo stops producing sound to all four speakers. Same as when I wash my car. It's beginning to **** me off. Before, I could lean over and open and shut my door and sound would come back. Now, nothing works. Eventually, sound does come back but I'm tired from washing my car and detailing it all day to try anything. Help. Please. Thanks.

Maybe there is a wire that has the insulation wearing off. I know that if your plug wires are worn, when it rains your car runs like crap b/c the water shorts the plug wires and the electricty doesn't get to the plug.

Nope, only prob I have is the stereo. I will start up the car, sounds fine, then crank up the radio and not hear anything out of the speakers, even when on FM.
