Default Sticky gas pedal

I'm finding the gas pedal is kinda sticky in my '98 Si, it makes it hard to accelerate smoothly... makes things jerky because it sticks a bit.

What can I use to lubricate it, and where exactly would it need to be lubricated to make the action smooth again?

Thanks for any advice!

I agree. Lubricate the pivot pin points between the bracket and the throttle throttle pedal. Also clean the throttle body as the plate can stick if the throttle body is gunked up. If the pedal is still notchy, you may need to replace the throttle cable.

I tried spraying silicone in some places, but it didn't seem to do much.. I was wondering if it was perhaps the throttle cable that was sticking. Apparently the throttle body was cleaned (I found the maintenance records), so it's probably not that.

I'll see if I can get a bit more light under there and see where to spray.

Silicone lubricant is more appropriate to lubricate rubber, such as the channels where the widow glass slides inside the doors. The mentioned lubricants would work better.

I had this same problem when I first got my current car. After about a week it went away.
Now every time one of my friends drives my car they mention how sticky and jerky it is. Wierd becuase I can't notice it anymore.
