Default still gots an idle problem after all of this im stumped....

Ok so '95 civic hatch with a d16z6 swap (full engine) ......however it was done incorrectly by the P.O. dx computer and dx wire harness in a vx hatch.....so far ive replaced the computer with a correct one and lets just say that made it stop reving to a high rpm then drop to a lower one and repeat it.....(reved up to about 3k then dropped to 2k and repeated).....now its hovering not constant at around 1.5k -1.7-8 k.......
So im wondering what else could be the problem its throwing a check engine light now anyway to check that??....and also might it effect the rpm's if i change the wire harness to the correct one?

Let me know asap thank you since i want to get this car on the road asap
John

Is your idle still bouncy or is it just idling high?

Did u reset the ECU after replacing them?

Also go over all your hsoes on your intake mani and make srue they are all on and secure. I know thsi sounds stupid but its easy to overlook something small, I did it and had abouncy idle lol.
