If theres a change that the cam is broken, don't start the car again. You'll have to take the head apart to find out for sure.
Is your vtec solenoid hooked up? If so, is your oil pressure sensor hooked up? THose are the two main reasons why it would throw the vtec code
ef4life, I think its .45 at idle and 4.5 at WOT, but close enough
