Default Stranded 98 civic ex 5-spd cel code p0108

Thank you all for visiting.. I'm on thin ice with my absence from work due to my civic's sudden death..

Less than a week ago I left to work and upon starting my car it first started normal, then seconds later it backfired for the first time while the rpms shot up around 1500; then fluctuating up and down between 1500 and about 900 evey 10 seconds or so...

I thought i would just tough it out and drive to work but as soon as I went to drive the car bogged and wanted to stall..

So far I have replaced the plugs and wires and thoroughly cleaned both the TB and the IACV..

I also sprayed the vac lines with TB cleaner to test for leaks..

Coolant was low and topped off..

Problem remains.. Undriveable..

PLEASE HELP!

Timing belt may have skipped. Check the cam timing. Backfiring usually means something is way out of time.
