stranded car help
Now check for spark at the plugs.
To know whether the fuel pump primes, have a buddy turn the key to ON(II), while you have your ear against the fuel fill hole with the cap off. You should hear the low humming noise of the fuel pump priming for 2 seconds.

ALSO check for spark at the plugs and listen for priming of the fuel pump. Answering all of these questions should quickly pinpoint the problem.

Is there spark at all 4 plugs? What color is spark at the plugs? Was oil on the side of spark plug 1 that is inside or outside the cylinder? Are the plug wires installed in the corrected firing order on the distributor cap? Do you hear the fuel pump prime in ON(II)?
If you have spark and the fuel pump primes, then the next step is to check the mechanical timing and to compression test the cylinders.
