Default stupid question

I have a autometer tach I was just wondering what would be the best 12volt source to tap into.
Also what wire to get the rpm reading from I think I know but just double checking
thanks!

I could but just want it to be as clean as possible (don't like running wires out of the fuses).

By the way, this is not a stupid question.

For 92-95 Civics, you get the rpm signal from terminal 8 (Blue wire) of the B connector in the gauge assembly (see picture).

Terminal A3 (Yellow wire) and terminal A5 (Black wire) of the A connector in the gauge assembly provide power and ground, respectively, to the stock tachometer.
