I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a 91 civic ex. I've been having two major problems. One; at idle sometimes it will spike from 1200 to 600 then back to 1200 repeating the cycle. Second; at low rpms (1000-2500) while in any gear but 1st and 2nd my car will studder or just stop revving all together. If i put the clutch in and work the peddle i can get the car to rev again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

... you're asking a question you could have solved a couple days ago by just going to a mechanic. Sometimes you just have to post your question in a different part of the forum...

 

do you have the ac on when this idle problem occurs?

 

can be many things, if u dont know then take it 2 a mechanic u noe, sometimes u have 2 go to them as much as u dont want 2, id say clog in intake manifold maybe or could be ur iac valve, could be anything
