Tachometer install

Ok guys i installed my tachometer i mounted it and i have the power going to it just cant get the calibration needed for the rpm,sfirst of all i used the iductive picup wire this is an eqqus tachometer and i put that pickup on the sparkplus wire like it says to and im getting no read and i was gonna use the other convntional wire but i cant find the ignition coil does anyone know where it is i have a 97 dx civic i need some help bad please!!!

for what he's talking about, I've seen on message boards, people say for some civics, use the lighter blue wire (with white line, i think?) and then others say the dark blue wire. there's a distinction, and our 97 DX has both. so I am in the exact same bind, as which one to use.

My assumption, by that link is the dark blue. I'll probably eventually just try it and see how it goes.
