Default Testing the fuel pressure

I need to check the fuel pressure on my 90 civic.
The test point is a small bolt on top of the filter,
it is about the same size as a 1/4 in. drill bit. (6mil )

Every parts store in town sells the same test kit
they fit a ford or gm product with the schrader valve on the rail. There is no adaptor for a honda.

When I ask if they can special order an adaptor for the honda
they all say no.

What are you guys using to check your fuel pressure?

Thanks Dave

Did you look into any of the fuel gauges available online (see link) and also possibly at some local stores like Sears?

Default RE: Testing the fuel pressure

I checked out the Actron CP 7818 fuel pressure tester.
This is the same unit that is being sold under a lot of different names. mine is a equus 3640.

These units all come standard with a GM and Ford adaptor.
The Actron site had a "pro" model that came with a banjo bolt adaptor for throttle body units. Which is what I have, a Duel point throttle body

the banjo bolt adaptor was for a m12x1.25 they also listed a couple of other metric banjo bolts. The price for these adaptors was under $3.00 each if ordered seperatly

they listed m12x1.25 as the most common, with
12x1.5, 8x1.0, and some domestic units also.

Is one of these banjo adaptors the correct one for hondas?
Once again what are you guys using to check fuel pressure.

I can't answer your question, but you might consider contacting Actron directly to find out which adapter is appropriate for your Civic model. Alternatively, your local auto parts stores might also be able to look up the information for you.
