Default Tick Click

Hey guys, I'm getting a really annoying ticking/clicking sound from the back of the car.

It started with the frame that the rear deck is mounted on, that only happened when turning, especially when turning left.
Today, I took the pillars and rear shelf off to put some foam on the edges to stop the rattling. I put everything back the way it was before. Now the clicking is much louder and happens even when I drive on smooth roads. It's coming from all around the rear deck. I'm pretty sure it's not the foam, because I had some in my other car, and it's fine. Any suggestions? It's SUPER annoying...

could it be a broken or loose clip that holds the trim to the frame? that's what happened to me once when i didn't put it on all the way

Hmm that could be it...one of the side trim pieces didn't go back perfectly so I pushed it reallll hard and it snapped into place...but the sounds coming from both sides, not just the side I messed up on.

Would a upper rear strut bar help with the frame below the rear deck making clicking sounds? I tightened all the screws there but the sound just got louder...

You should sit back there while someone else drives (or vice versa) to better hear exactly where it's coming from.

One guy even rode in the trunk to diagnose a noise like that, the neighbors saw him getting in and then his friend driving the car away and called the police.

Lmfao i already tried that, the random ticking went away, now its just the passenger side panel that ticks over every little bump...and i held the trim piece so it doesnt move, seems like the sounds coming from the frame under the plastic. so i saw a rear upper strut for 20 shipped, you guys think that would help with the noise? seems like everytime theres any stress on that section it ticks...
