timing belt help
whats up, I got a 94 honda civic ex (d16z6) ive had for about 2 years now. It hit 200,000 miles last week so i decided to do the timing belt. I bought a vision motorworks cam gear, racing belt, water pump, tensioner, and underdrive pulley. I put all of them in. I started the car while on the stands to test it, and it ran fine, but while it was running, the belt began to move to the right slightly off the cam gear, so the belt wasnt completely on the cam gear. I turned it off and looked at it again, and I noticed that the cam gear wasnt exactly in line with the water pump. I think the cam gear is too far inside and needs to come out a little so it gets in line, but Im not sure. I noticed that the factory gear is a little wider that the one I bought, and I dont know if thats the reason or something else. ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. thanks

Make sure the guide washers are properly in place on both sides of the crank gear and the underdrive pulley (not recommended) is holding everything tight. That's what keeps the belt from moving side to side. What holds that cam gear on? I don't see the bolt in the end of the cam. I'd just put the stock gear back on.
thanks, ill look at the guide washers again, but im sure everything is tight. the bolt at the end of the cam was out when i took the pic bc i was trying to figure out why the belt was moving. if i cant get it to work soon, ill end up putting the factory gear back on.
