Timing Belt Snapped!!!
hey i have a 97 civic ex with a D16y8 motor. So i was driving and my car just shut off. when i pulled over i cranked it over a couple of times. my dad towed me home, cranked it over a few times and determined the timing belt snapped. We fixed the timing belt and 4 codes popped up. P0301, P0303, P1300, 1399. when i researched it P0301 and 0303 were misfires in Cylinders 1 and 3, and the other 2 had to do with ignition problems. did i bend the valves because i cranked it over 5 times? did i mess up my head? do i need a new motor? any help would be awesome. thanks

Do a compression test. To avoid damage to the coil, be sure to disconnect the power wires to the distributor before cranking the engine with the spark plug wires disconnected.
Valve damage would have occurred right after the belt broke while the engine was still spinning. Trying to restart wouldn't cause any further damage.
