Tranny leak?
So the other day I decide to look under my car and it looks like the transmission is leaking. What it is i don't know?
I have 90 civic hatch. 5spd manual trans. Ive been told since it's a manual it shouldn't be leaking anything.
Help??

Manual transmissions are filled with oil and certainly can leak. Should the oil leak out, the unit will fail due to lack of lubrication. Common leak points are the shaft seals where the CV axles go in, the shift linkage seal, and the input shaft seal. A leaking input shaft seal would cause oil to run out of the bottom of the clutch housing where the transmission meets the engine.
To check the level, unscrew the fill plug-- it's on the right side behind the axle and has a 17mm hex head. With the car level, the oil should be all the way up to the fill hole, i.e. it is impossible to add more because it would run out immediately. Fill with Honda Manual Transmission Fluid or 10W40 motor oil. Do not use 80W / 90W gear oil.

so i think itsactual engine coolant thats leaking cuz its a greenish brownish watery liquid that appears underneath my car..and the coolant level in the radiator is slowly going down..it only seems to do this when the car fully warms up though. ill have to check the hoses and hopefully find out its just that.
