You should sell both car and borrow a friend car just for now until you find a new ride.

 

I have a 94 EX coupe with the rims and exhaust, ya know, the basics, but I got that thing for about $3500 when all was said and done! Just have to keep an eye out for good deals (it took me 3 months without a car before I found mine)

 

MAN...my mom is against me getting a new civic..she wants me to try to fix mine cuz all the money i have into it...i can get 400 for it right now...not runing...im gunna try to get 400 and some wheels but we will see....im like mom an 01 civic will be runing great and it will be reliabl...id like to keep the integra to mess around with later.....i need to know...since my timing belt went while i was drivign...pretty fast i mimght add...is my head gone for sure?...i might check it tomorrow to be sure...i really want to get an 01 tho...u guys think i should sell the civic for 400?...im already al such a money loss with it..i mean i payed an outragous price for it tobegin with..

u see its got way more then its worth into it....and if i buy a timing belt..take the itme to put it in..and the car still dosnt run because of the head i will be pissed...nevermind that its still gunna leak oil like a bitch and it has over 260000 mi on it...

i have some choices..even tho id love just to get like a 00 or 01...i could rebuild the motor..which is gunna take time and like 450 or so....i could just buy a new sohc vtec...jap spec d15 for like 500 or a little less...but then i gotta wire it and what not...or i could put the b18 from the integra in it...which is gunna cost some money and i have heard its not an easy swap....im at a loss guys...i dont know what to do!!!

 

i just need to know...is my head deffinatly shot?...the timing belt is like 35 bucks..but if i spend the time and monye and the head is f'ed it would suck...i think im just gunna fork out the 350-400 for an ls tranny for the integra....u guys think i should try for like a b16 tranny since i am gunna have to order a newer one anyway?...i got like 400 i can spend on a tranny...even tho its gunna kill me.[]

 

the heads probably shot. i say get a good running Z6 and throw that in there. with that manual tranny, it should be a good car. just try to keep throwing upgrades in for every part that breaks. i know it sucks to hear, but thats what i would do. if you decide to sell it, put it back to as close to stock as you can, at least the springs and stuff, then try to get a 5th or 6th gen used from an old lady or somone who hasnt abused it. you can usually get a good loan from a credit union or something to buy from a private party.

 

yea...i got the z6 head already...i just need some little things to put it on...i think im gunna fork up the dough for the tranny and get the teg on the road...then ill just do like i was gunna and pull the motor in the civic and rebuild it witht he mini me...to get the teg on the road i need the tranny and linkage..and wheels...i can get a set of wheels rigth now for 200..so...that and the tranny and a change of registration and ill have the teg on the road...hopefully before not to long

 

oh yea..sac...u think the b16 tranny will have me quicker in the 1/4 mi then the ls?

 

Look cars are always depreciating I swer youw ill not regret selling it all off and buying something a bit newer. I don't have the patience to read through everything but timing belts arent that expensiveyou just haveto do your research. Where are you at? if you're in the Toronto area I can probably get you a good price on one. I always say to myself it's you behing how many thousand pounds, you're on the hwy or something and a piece goes you're totally screwed. If you're so in love with your car keep it but I think it's time to build some new memories
