My civic Si 1989 has 125k miles, stick shift. The last tranny oil change was at 60k.
Recently I feel that the shift is not as smooth as before. Clutch seems fine. But
when I move gears, I feel unsmooth from the gear stick. Do you think the trans
might have been damaged? I have been thinking to sell this car rather than
repairing... Thanks.

 

u could of possible just have grinded your gears too much?

 

Thanks. At the same time I feel that driving noise is a lot larger than before (or I
get tired within less than 1 hr of freeway drive). I guess this would be due also
to the tranny friction.
