Default Vacuum Source - Cruise Control '97

I am nearing the end of an engine/tranny swap on my daughter's 1997 Civic LX. The replacement engine is from a 2000 civic. As I was putting in fluids and doing a once over prior to initial starting, I found a rouge vacuum line that apparently had no source. Turns out it is the vacuum source to the cruise control which derived its vacuum from the '97's intake manifold. The 2000 manifold has this place in the casting, but was not tapped during manufacture.

Has anyone else run into this problem? Does anyone know if I can tap off another vacuum source such as the brake boost line? Any help is much appreciated.

yes you can T off any of the small vacuum lines coming from the intake manifold and run the cruise control to it.

^What he said.

There are 2 different intake manifolds: one for cruise and one without. Since it doesn't have that extra source for vacuum, just use a T on another vacuum hose. Will work fine.
