Default vibration from front passenger side, ideas?

I have been getting a vibration from the front passenger side of my 97 crv. It is not extremely noticeable, and sometimes not at all. It is most obvious after turning a corner or under hard acceleration. There is no noise at all, just intermittent vibration/bumping.

I swapped out the wheel and rotor and the problem persists. I did notice that when jacked up, the wheel has no give when moved side to side, but about 1mm give when moved up and down.

It passed inspection, he wiggled it a couple times and then moved on, at the time I assumed I had a warped rotor.

Anyone have an idea of what needs replacing? I hear no noise, so i wouldnt guess the wheel bearings.

Maximus,

I'm going to propose that your CV joint(s) may be worn. A worn CV joint can cause vibration or a rattling sensation when accelerating, turning or simply traversing over uneven or particularly rough terrain. Inspect the CV boots (use this CRV diagram as a reference point to familiarize yourself with the components), the joints and all other components involved in order to properly diagnose the problem.

Since your mechanic wiggled your tires inwards and outwards and didn't notice anything wrong, I assume that your tie rod ends are okay?

thanks for your help, I checked the boot, and there were no tears, it looked in pretty good shape. would there be much chance of cv joint problem if the boot was good, and would there be a need to add more grease at any point?

I did end up having a warped rotor, after replacing it, my break squealing was gone but the vibrating is still there.

There must be NO wobble or play in a wheel when jacked up. Take the wheel off and push and pull on the hub to see where the slack is. You may also want to remove the brake caliper and pads so there is no interference from the brakes during the wobble check.
