Default VSA & LSD Question. 2007 FA5 Si

Hi all. I am wondering if someone smarter than me can explain the interaction of the VSA with the LSD in my '07 Si. For example if taking a tight corner and putting power down does the VSA sort of cancel out the limited wheelspin allowed by the LSD? I understand how each system works but what is the point of the LSD if the VSA activates by applying the brakes to the spinning wheel? I realize i can simply shut off the VSA but aren't they made to work together?
I hope someone can make better sense of this for me.
Thanks.
