why is it relevant if it says VTEC or not? as long as you have it, does it really matter[&:]

Some like the looks. And the plain covers are well plain. Thats like saying whats it matter what your wheels look like as long as you have them. The little things count

Just so you know it's there becasue I constantly get people telling me my car is not VTEC just because it's a sedan and I can't just pop the hood and prove it

I know but the people that don't believe I have a VTEC are the same people who wouldn't even know what that is

In that case get a new cover or give them your engine code, tell them look it up, and get back to you when they know what there talking about.

ORIGINAL: Mugan

www.Racingworks.com/tenzo_r_mugen_valve_cover.htm

Here you go a link to a valve cover made by Mugen.
Just because it has it on there means nothing. Notice it is a "Tenzo-R-Mugen" valve cover. Mugen never made anything for a D series.

In order to put Mugen on the Cover they first had to get concent, Mugen being Mugen most likly stated that it also has to meet quality specs. In turn its the same as Mugen making the cover.

No it is not, it is a knock off. How many valve terrain parts you ever seen for a sohc made by mugen? how many cams have you seen for a sohc made by mugen? I'll answer for you......none because like I said they dont, never have, and never will make parts for a d series engine. I mean I dont care if a person wants to buy that valve cover or not. No biggie either way but rest assure that mugen did not make that valve cover. Just because a name is stamped on it does not mean anything. And as far as the "quality" you would have to be a pile of **** company to bring out a valve cover that was/is in some way faulty.
