Default wheel bearing.

aight so i'm riding down the road right. and i have noticed this for awhile. but when i oull on the wheel a lil bit to the left the bearing lets out a slight roar just like its road noise. but louder way louder. i was talking to a mechanic friend of my dad's and he said that it is a wheel bearing that is gong out. so like what am i looking at here. can i just replace the bearing and save a couple hundredor do i needa replace the wheel hub assembly and how mucyh am i looking at here.? anyone....anyone...? thanks for the help guys

can i just replace the bearing and save a couple
If it is just the wheel bearing (you'll have to check when you get it apart), then you should be able to just change the bearing and save some cash.
Note: Make sure you pack that new bearing with wheel bearing grease.

I changed my front wheel berring once and it's really a PITA like kolhoznik just said. If I were you , I'l try to find a cheap mecanic to changed it ...just and advice

I'm cheap, so I'll be replacing bearings...if I weren't I'd get the hub assembly, but than I probably would still be driving my beloved caravan...

yeah make sure u pack that "sealed" bearing with wheel bearing grease

FWD bearings are sealed i think. If so i'm pretty sure it take massive amounts of force to unseal. How are u gonna unseal them, u might need a hydraulic press.
