WHEEL SIZE???
hey guys, i want to put some winter rims on my 2002 honda civic, do u guys know what size they need to be, I know its a 4 bolt pattern and 15 inch rim, but i was looking at the winter rims and they have a demension like this (16*5, 5-4-1/4) What does that last part mean (5-4-1/4)????
thought that metric was used in the last number you have.
like 100 mm, which is 2.54 inches, or that is to say 2 1/2.
you got 16 x 5 where the 5 is wheel width (measured across the wheel barrel from the front rim to the rear rim) and the next 5 is the number of bolts (or lugs) and then i think you got 4 1/4 inches which is the distance between the center of the two lugs taken across the center of the wheel.
the 16 is of course the wheel diameter (size of the wheel measured across its center).

Ok, that straightens out the dimension part, but my car does not have the stock steel wheels included, so i need to purchase them, i can use the aluminum wheels i have for the dimensions right? They are 15 inch 4 bolt wheels.
just go to a junkyard an look for a old honda and jack the rims (only civics and integras). the stock honda wheels are pretty narrow which is good for snow.
or if you want a wider wheel, all saturn s series and 03-04 ions used the same 4x100 lug pattern, and they came in 14x5.5 and 14x6 steel wheels or 15x6 steel to put a wider tire on them
