Weird problem here
.when i first turn on the car turn the lights on the tail lights will come on. When i go to take the e brake off as soon as its all the way down and the light on the instrument panel goes off...so do my tail lights. I have checked the dashboard brightness controller, the fuse, the bulbs ( but they worked when the car just started) looking to find possibly the daytime running light controller but other then that i am out of ideas...anyone run into this problem before...this is a 90 civic dx any news would be appreciated thanks.

 

i dont want to sound wierd, but it sounds like this car had a tweaker workin on it at some point in time. i think that at one time the taillight switch went out and someone wired the taillights to the ignition power. so that when the car turns on, the tail lights com on. but about them turning off with the parking brake. i dont know. but you have a lot of wire tracing and work to do. sorry.
