I think that most of what I said is relevant. My comments, however, were based on my experiences with replacing the PCV valve on my 2000 Civic EX (D16Y8 engine). I thought you had the same car. For example, replacing the PCV valve on my 1997 Civic DX (D16Y7 engine) is done from the top not bottom.
