Exclamation Whistling Noise

HI
I have civic-2007-DXG
Last few days I 'm noticing whistle like noise when i start my car. it goes up with gas and it remains there when idle.
Some times it does not make any noise while some times it goes off after driving 5-6 kms.
PLease someone advise as i dont know much about auto. i'm getting really worried when i read on net that this can be timing belt, as it will be big expense then.
odometer is at 67000 that is why i'm worrid b'se civic schedule says timing belt is good for 100k.
unfortunately my 3yr warranty also expired about 6weeks ago.
i'm in calgary, i will not mind repair but i need help clarifying issue because dealer will check it and before i know the problem he will charge for 1hour labour.
thanks for help.

It sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Once it warms up the gasket prob expands and seals again. Try spraying brake cleaner around the intake manifold and the vacuum lines. If the idle goes up that means that there is a vacuum leak where u are spraying.
