My check engine light is on and I checked it with the obd2 code reader and it is comming up as P1337( ignition/misfire) but it is not missfiring and the ignition system seems to be ok. The wierd thing is that the code reader will only read the code with the engine running. It shows no codes found when in the start position with out the engine running. also the code that is coming up is a code(P1337) that does'nt show up in any books or programs that I have. and one other thing , I can,t erase the code off of the computer with the code reader. I have to reset the computer. It comes back on, and when on , it stays on all the time. the car is a 96 civic ex. all help is greatly appreciated. could the computer/ecu be going bad???
