wont start after head gasket replacement.

Default wont start after head gasket replacement.

hi . just got done replacing a head gasket. mechanical part was not difficult. car will not start. it cranks but no start. how do i check if i am getting spark. i don't suspect fuel problems since i did not have any before. thanks.

Did you check all of your connections? I forgot to reconnect my distributor last time I cahnged it and it took me 5 minutes to figure it out.

yes i just got done checking connections. the car seems to want to start. it actually does with very low power. idles for a few seconds then it dies. does this mean i got a timing problem. thanks for your help.

Even if the timing was waaaay jacked up, it would still start, it would just run like ***. You may be off a tooth or two on your timing belt. That would suck.

if i was off on my timing belt is there a shortcut or just taking all apart and realign.

take it to someone that knows what they are doing before you really f up your motor!

your timing is probably off you do have to take the belt back off or move your plug wires up one or back one and try that
