Default won't turn in cold

Right, so my car doesn't like to start in the cold. I'm getting electrical power to the accessories, but the starter doesn't crank. My guess is that either starter is wearing out, or there is something wrong with the wire/connection that tells the car my clutch pedal is depressed? is there anything i can do to remedy this other than hitting the starter with a wrench to move the selenoid? i know i probably need to replace the starter, but if that's the problem, i'll wait till it is warm enough to start and drive it to get a replacement. Also, the battery terminals and negative ground have been cleaned.

Have the battery tested. FInd some place that does conductance tests b/c they are better than load tests.

Maybe your gas line is frozen? Have you tried that fuel additive/de-icer stuff?

How would a frozen gas line cause the starter to not crank over?
