Have you looked for the stock radio tucked behind the new one?

This is getting crazy lol!! So the only way to add a remote is to have access to the stock head unit??
Yeah, this is the reason why i chose not to get an aftermarket head unit b/c it just isn't worth it. i know that eventually one of my remotes will go and I will need to get a new one. Then I'd have to take everything apart just to program it.

The only way the keyless entry system accepts new remotes is if it is placed in "valet" mode. Of course, you cannot put the keyless system in this mode without pressing that little button between the AM/FM and CD/TAPE buttons. So yes, you will need to get back there and gain access to the stock head unit and follow the instructions.

If you forsee yourself needing more remotes later, then I would buy all the remotes now b/4 opening it all up. I believe the limit is 4 remotes on a single head unit.

SO i was diggin through some old stuff in the basment and found only the front face plate part of the stock stereo. So I am going out on limb and guessing the old head unit is still in there since thats all I got of the old unit and the keyless still works. You guys think if I dig in there I can still program this new remote?? Any links to taking that stuff apart?? Seems like it might be a big job.

not to big of a job.... alittle time consuming...

Got a hold of one of the installers at Best Buy and he said the stock head unit is still in there somewhere. Guess I will have fun in this heat tomorrow taking that stuff apart!! Woo hoo!!![:@]
