that actually makes a lease the worst deal possible, because if you go over 15k in a year, you get penalized, which means you pay way more than necessary, and don't own the car..


i'm sure you could get the same deal on a 5 year loan or damn near it if you put another $1000 down, or have a $1000 trade in

 

im in college too and i put way more than 15000 miles a year on my car. but i live 40 miiles away too though.
i would just try to buy it. then you could have the freadom of saying "This is my new car." and also doing what you want to the car.

 

i would be worried about the mileage too but the fact is that i will only have to make may long commute for another 1 1/2...so yes that means i might have high mileage at that point but over the remaining period of the lease i will only be driving locally so it will all even out...im not to worried about the mileage and again if i could buy i would but i can so that only leaves me the lease....

 

Well sounds like you made up your mind on the lease, but me personally i wouldnt do it. Its just better to me to own the car and not have to pay for it and then give it back.

 

oh, I thought it was 15k TOTAL.
