Calm down? Absolutely not. I would have to be angry to calm down . It just baffles me as to why someone who doesnt have anything nice to say said something at all. I dont go around cracking on peoples rides by saying "so, big deal". It just seems like people want to start fights. "but am i the only one that is tilting my head that someone's bragging about a 12 year old car". like thats not a shot at the guy? im just saying that if he doesnt like it, he doesnt have to comment. come on, hobo. you know that if i was riled up i would have said something far worse than hater-ade. i dont cliche lol and i thought it would come off as me just being silly. thought that a little shot from helmet deserved a little shot back since obviously 99sioldguy is a well spoken and polite individual. cant go pickin' on old dudes!

Lucky. I love that year/model/color car and to see one so perfect. Nice work on leaving it alone.

There's a good article at Edmunds comparing the '99 Si to the '12 Si. They say a lot of nice things about the older model. The car in the video looks pretty much like mine, except for the (optional) rear wing. Check it out:

Default Sold the Si (!)

Well, I sold the Si today. My local ad in the Thrifty Nickel paid off. The first people who actually bothered to come out to my house (I live out in the sticks) to look at the car bought it. A college professor and his teenage son. (I assume the kid will get the car). They seem like nice people, so I hope they will treat the car well. They agreed to pay my asking price of $10,000, but wanted me to put fresh tires on the car. I said "How about $9,500, and you can put the tires on yourself. That way you get to choose the brand, etc." They said OK and the deal was done. Paid by direct wire transfer from their bank to mine, so a nice quick and safe transaction. I will surely miss the little Si, but my old Skylark will really appreciate getting to take over the empty garage slot, especially now that Winter is almost here. Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know it was off the market. Thanks for all the kind comments about the car. Chuck A.

I hope the kid understands how unbelievably rare that car in that condition is. And I hope it is treated well.

Tell the kid to get on this forum to keep us updated! I REALLY hope he isn't young and stupid. It would be a shame to see that car mangled.
