Default 2007 Civic - does this sound weird??

Hey guys and gals. First time poster and owner of a new 2007 Black LX Civic.
Its an automatic. I'm truly digging this car and am glad that I bought it...I just have 1 quick question:

I know that around 25 or so miles per hour the transmission shifts down (and I actually dig this). However - this morning it started to feel like the car was jerking slightly forward when coming to a stop. It is ever so slight. Also when the car is sitting idle I hear this click every couple of minutes (like something is shifting in the engine).

When I'm at a stop - the tach needle hovers below 1. For some reason I thought it previously sat above 1 when idleing at a stop. Does this sound weird to anybody????

Thanks in advance!!!!!
Have a great day!!!!!

THe idle sounds normal, mine only idles arround 800rpm when warm, but the others i would consult the dealer about, its a brand new car, they have to service it.

It could be your compressor kicking on. If you have a/c, you have one. Contrary to popular belief, even though you are using heat, using your defroster and some other settings cause the compressor to kick in which causes a load on your engine. I'm not all knowing, but it's somewhere to start

Thanks for the reply, guys. Both description you gave seem to make sense - the compressor and the idle.

I think I'm just overanalyzing (first time I bought a brand new car). I have to say - its a nice ride.
I'm 100% glad I went w/ the Civic.

Should it feel like its pulling back between 20-30 mph (like its slowing down w/out braking?) Its an automatic.

not sure on your very last question because my fg1 is a MT not AT. As for you idle, thats normal for our car. My idle is kinda ruff(imo). NST make a performance light weight pulley kit(not under driver), which helps smooth out our idle. If you are not also a member of 8thcivc.com i would join that forum aswell.
congrats on the new fg1

Does it slow down while you are still giving it gas or when you are coasting?
