Default 99 Civic trouble starting

Hi, I'm new member so be gentle.

I have a 99 civic (75k miles) and when I'm out of town the car sits for about a week or sometimes 2 weeks at a time. This is the second time that it has happened but when I try to start the car it turns over but it doesn't start. After 3 or 4 trys the car finally starts. Can anybody let me know if this is normal? What causes this and is there any simple solutions?

Thanks.

Default RE: 99 Civic trouble starting

maybe u could upgrade ur battery? I pt in an optima yellow top and the car seemed to start MUCH easier. It might be because theyve got more cold cranking amps than the stock one.
