Default About to get a 2007 Civic Hybrid

Hi Folks:

I am about to get a brand new 2007 Civic Hybrid with XM Radio, colorMagnetic Pearl, for $21,800 out of the door. Is it a good deal?
Anything that I should know and/or be aware of the hybrids? I am buying this car for the mpg since I live in NC and work in SC.
I am giving up a 2004 VW Touareg V6 and mileage is really important.

Thanks

Not sure about this, but I thought hybrids did best in the city. If you're driving alot of highway I'd say the normal Civic would be the way to go. You'd save alot of money.

OK, just looked at the Honda website. It said 45 highway mpg for the hybrid, 35 for the 1.8 liter. But you got a7 grand price difference. How long will it take you to make that up?

U got a point...
Already placed the order and the car will be here tomorrow.
I will be driving 110 miles one way on mondays morning and driving back on fridays.
I am buy cash and figure when it comes time to sell it (Until a decent diesel comes out like VW Tiguan or Audi Q5), it will be
more attractive to buyers....

These Civic Hybrids are really great cars. for some reason they have not attained the status of the Toyota Prius which I find to be an inferior vehicle. I am looking to lease a new model and I found this Honda Leasing online which seems to have very competitive figures. I have not leased in the past and would really appreciate the opinions of those who have been down this road before.....thanks in advance.....cheers!!!
