Hello Forum folks. I just bought a bone stock 2001 LX with 136k. I am loving the 40mpg as I drive 1000 miles a week. I live in Louisiana and work in Alabama so its a daily driver for sure now. Id like to do a few mods, not much and keep this car for a long time.

Im spending way too much time chasing other threads on here to try and gather popular opinions on common mods. It takes alot of time to do such.

My mod list is short:
Headers
Cold Air Intake
Tires and Wheels
upgrade sound system mildly

I have no intention on adjusting the suspension up or down.
I am concerned with reading a bunch of threads on the wheels and tires. This car will be a daily driver so no racing for me. Id prefer a 17" silver wheel with a lip and tires that may be 1/2" taller than stock.

I am very open to your opinions and suggestions as so far I have bought nothing for it but gas, and not much of that!

17's are fine on a 7th gen Civic. I think that'll end up working out well.

There's not a lot of stuff for the D17 engine platform but you do have a few options. I'm not sure what they are.

And minor correction, your Civic only has one header.

 

LOL, oh yea. ive spent years putting headerS on V8's...its a bad habit to say headers...sorry.
