Just recently purchased a '99 Civic and I'm new to the forum. I've been slowly going through the car getting it tuned up and getting some of the kinks out of it.

I had a '83 Honda Accord way back in '87. I've always loved the sedans and hatches over the coupes (just for the extra room though.). My wife has had an Odyssey for a few years now and I've been driving a full size Dodge truck and I decided to get something a little friendlier on gas to commute back and forth to work.

I've gained a lot of help and instruction from the site so far and wanted to say Hello to y'all and any other AR members out there.

What Model Civic did you get? any pics/problems?

 

It's '99 LX, Auto, Sedan.

Completely Stock.

Issues at first were.

1.) Bad Battery ...Fixed
2.) Idle was bad ...Fixed
3.) Car would completely die out of the blue. Driving and/or sitting @ idle.

I'm hoping #3 has been resolved with the recall on the ignition switch. I took it in this last week to the dealership to get it repaired under the recall warranty. It had never been performed on the car so they did it @ no charge. So far it has not quit on me like before. With it being so random with no warnings or CEL's, I'll have to drive it for a while and see.
