HAHAHAHAHAHA Sorry I have to laugh at that... it is spelled vtec! V T E C H is a childrens company that is now making phones you can buy at wal mart... it is blanked out for your own protection... some of the other forum guys would mock you for not spelling it right.

Sorry about that. Like I said before, I'm not a Honda guy. My son actually has some toys from them. Anyway what is the difference between the vtec and non vtec engines. What would be a good engine to swap to when I'm ready? I don't need 250+ at the wheels but I would like 200+.

The difference is vtec! Hehehehe But seriously, the thing with vtec is a different cam that has some extra notches on it that begin to spin at high RPMs that make your engine spray more gas into the cylinders, thus making it faster. If you're looking to get 200 on your d all you need is to boost it. That'll end it right there. If you want to keep it n/a (naturally asperated) go with a b series and go to town with sleeve, forged internals, intake, header, hi-flow cat, pulleys, racing cams, fuel rail, lighter flywheel, and good ol NITROUS!!!

Hey , there is an excellant book at barnes and noble booksellers...by publisher Motorbooks, Honda and Acura performance
Gives a good history of Honda performance, all the engines, suspension, etc.. I think it was about $25 dollars though, I was very impressed with it regardless of the price.
