Hello everybody
Hey guys, my name is colin. I'm new here, obviously. I'm 17, and I know a bit about cars. I just bought my buddy's red'96 Civic Ex (coupe)last week, so I figured i would register here, just in case i needed help with anything. I don't have any pictures yet, but i will soon.
So far, the list of mods includes:
-Magnaflow cat-back exhaust system, 2.5" piping, 3" tip
-16" Motegi racing rims, painted black on 215/40/r16 General Exclaim tires
-K&N cold air intake with a K&N air filter
-20% tint on the front two windows, 5% tint on the back windows and rear windshield
-JVC headunit, 6" Alpine type R speakers in the front doors, 6x9" Type R's in the rear deck
-Two 12" Dual subwoofers in a bandpass enclosure, blue neons on the speaker grills
There are other little things done to the car, but i'm in school right now and my 5th period class is about to end, so i gotta cut this short. In the future, I will be throwing a manual transmission in the ride, and most likely swapping out the engine. As of now, the engine is still the standard 1.6Ld16y8 that has 180k miles on it.
Well, once again, hello to everybody, and i will be back sometime later

RE: Hello everybody
looks like you've got a good plan, for hte rims seems like you could find some 16" black rims instead of painting them black and it'd cost you less. Good luck and welcoem to the forum!

RE: Hello everybody
haha definitely. It also needs some minor body work, but i think i can deal with the little dings and dents, for now anyways. But yeah, i will get some pics up by the end of this week hopefully. I ned to get the rims sanded down and repainted as well. I think i will go with a black powdercoat this time instead of the actual paint, since it seems to be chipping away. Anyways, it seems like everybody here is pretty cool, so thanks for the welcome guys! I'll post updates & everything when i can.
