Hello...new 06 civic owner aboard
Hi everyone,
Newbie to the forum. I just bought my second civic, a new EX coupe with navagation. My first civic was a 2001 EX coupe which was a good car. The new one is unbelievable. I am in my late 20s and have been driving a little higher end cars for the last couple years. Now, gas prices here in South Florida are over 3.00 dollars a gallon and my daily commute of 110 miles + a day is not sports car/SUV friendly anymore. So I went to look at the new Civic and fell in love at first drive. The car is heads and tails better than my 2001. With all the competition in it's class, Honda really stepped up to the plate. I got 36.5 mpg on my last tank of gas, and that is doing between 70 and 90 mph on the highway daily. [8D] But at the same time, Im enjoying driving again and very comfortable. Great car!

Welcome. I have an 06 Si and I'm getting right around 30 mpg. I'm driving 1000 miles / week and enjoying the hell out of it.

Yeah, I'm spending a lot on gas, but it's for a job so I'm getting paid for it. My last car was a 96 civic LX sedan and it got around 33 mpg. But I figured since I'm spending 3 hours a day in the car, I might as well have some fun doing it. I LOVE this car.

I got rid of my truck for the same reason. I stopped driving it and rode my CBR 600rr as much as possible and the truck just sat in the garage taking up over half of it. So I picked up my Si and haven't riddin my bike since I got it. I figure when the new wears of the Si I will start riding the bike a lot again, here in Jax, FL, you can pretty much ride year round.
