I could had bought a Harley
[hr]Instead a rescued a tuner, I bought a 2001 civic lx with 79K miles about 3 months ago, essentially I took a job that requires a lot of traveling and with gas hovering at $ 4.00 a gallon I knew I had to downsize from my Dodge Ram 1500. So I went shoping the usual way, Ebay motors, auto trader etc. I avoid dealers for 2 reasons: One, I used to be in the reconditioning business and Two, I sold cars for a large franchised dealer a few years ago. Need I say more? Anyway
I knew enought about tuners to really avoid the extravagant air intakes and oversized spoilers, so when I found this little coupe I was impressed with the simple but sporty look, nice rims and low profile wheels, carbon fiber hood, enhanced CAI and exhaust and Xenon lower body kit. what intrigued me most was the set of stainless steel hoses that had been cut out close to the firewall. everything else was in great condition, original paint, no dings or scratches, clean interior sans a few plastic trim pieces, extra cool a/c and a non-smoker to boot. Almost 13,000 miles later I couldn't be more pleased with the car. Even my wife will
drive it sooner that she can backout the SUV out of the driveway. The big surprise was uninstalling the leftover NOS assembly behind the firewall, this car already zooms 90 - 100 mph effortlessly as is.[8D]
