In theory any D-series engine should bolt up to your current transmission since almost all D-series parts are interchangeable from intake manifolds to transmissions. However, I doubt anyone here has any concrete proof that it will since, collectively, we don't have much experience with CVTs. I'd guess it'll bolt up though.

CVT is made for that engine, pretty much. I don't know what kind of effect a "normal" engine would have on it. But yes, in theory a D16 to D16 swap will bolt right in.

Brenner , I'm from Md too I've seen plenty of D16z6 engines and the trans to go with on craigslist!!! That was going to be my original swap then I changed my mind!
Also if you meander down to the baltimore area and go to Crazy Ray's there's 3 diff locations I know there more then that but theres on In Curtis bay, one in Jessup and One on the northEast side of Baltimore off of Greenmount Street.
