This is my first car and I was determined to get either a civic or CRX. I picked up an 89 civic dx in decent shape and only 137k miles for 1100. I already started workin on it doin all the DIY stuff, I dont plan on going all out on it just a new paint job and such make it look nice. Its going into the shop next week to get the rust repaired, I mainly want to focus on the engine. Im not planning on doing a swap though. Id like to make a nice sleeper car. It doesnt have to be amazing as the racing arena isnt big at all, actualyl there really sint one. Just the regular stop light races with the college kids in mustangs and old guys and their beamers. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

SOrry but Im not up on everything yet. Im looking to learn a lot here so I dont really know all the acronyms and such. But I can say that the first two things I am planning on getting is an intake and catback.
