Default Just got a 03 civic si hatch

and think I have an idea on where to go with it but im not sure. Is a turbo really my only option if im looking to get alot of power. Im not looking for engine swaps either. I was wondering whats the most I can do to my car without dropping a turbo or engine swap, to get some more power. Im looking to get over 230hp. But im not sure if thats possible without a turbo, but i dont really know anything about this car.

WELCOME! yeah, easiest and cheapest way to get that kinda power is turbo. not 100% sure but for 230hp, swap and turbo would be ur best bet. or swap and crazy engine work.

Welcome! Sadly, like the typical 7th gens, the EP si doenst get much love either. An engine swap is typically out of the question.

A turbo with a tune will net you an easy 250whp. That is nuts for a car your size.

Isn't the 03 SI a K20? which puts out about 160hp...

yeah, u couldn't do it with just I/H/E, U would have to do some engine internals to get over 230hp w/o a turbo...

Well hope this forum helps u out, WELCOME

So from what I understand, those kind of numbers are pretty much out of the question with out force induction or a engine swap. So what other kind of work can i do to my engine/drivetrain. To really bring up the power and the power placement. As of now i have planned stage 2 clutch with light flywheel, intake, exhaust, header. What else?

build up your engine that you have now and turbo it. before you turbo read a ton about what you need and how a turbo works.

it will be a long process but it will be worth it in the long run

welcome to hcf, this place will be helpful
