Default kill switch???

Hey Guys i live in mexico city where it is very common to get carjacked at gunpoint, and if they are not able to take it they have no problem killing people. i was wondering if there is a way to install a kill switch with like a 60 sec timer in my si so if i were to get carjacked so they cant get very far with my car and i could get my wife and son to safety without taking the risk of getting shot at.

You want to be able to remove the key and have the car run for 60 seconds? If so, you can get a turbo timer, and somehow disable the auto-off function.

The auto off function of a turbo timer will disable the countdown if the vehicle is driven, or if the e-brake was put down. I am sure you can figure something out though. However, if they have a key, you are looking at much more wiring to get the car to shut off down the road.

there are car alarms will kill switches on the key fob that allow you to shut the car down remotely. you could also get alarms with built in GPS tracking to find the car later on.
