Noob here. I currently own an 01 Sentrqa SE with the SR20DE engine. Extended warranty runs out next December so I'll probably eject it. Bought it bc it was the best econobox with the best engine then. Nissan has gone downhill. Engines excep0t for the VQ 3.5 suck.

I plan on getting a 4 door-probably the EX auto. I'd get the Si but the wife won't go with manual.

Hope to learn here. Im 60 years old-retired mechanical engineer. I do some vehicle maintenance. I'm pretty knowledgeable with engine oils. I do oil analysises on every oil change. So I might be able to help in that area.

welcome you will love a honda, they are very reliable.

 

Reliability is my major concern. I would have considered the Corolla. But with no rear disc brakes and decent wheels..forget it. Toyota is sucking hind tit in this market for sure.

 

What year honda are you planning on buying? because i think if its below 2000 only the si come with rear disk brakes.

 

Honestly it will probably be 2008..so who knows what the landscape will be. But I'm looking at the EX and it does come with rear discs. With my luck they will come out with a new engine in 2008 that will be first year which will not make me happy. Who knows. :shrug:
