Honestly, you would be VERY happy with 300hp. 500whp is just not really practical, and is VERY expensive. Not to mention a S2000 rear end, won't hold 500whp if i remember correctly.
If you really want to drift, save for a Nissan or something.
300whp in a civic is enough to pwn mustangs and camaros no problem. Boost you're stock D and make 220whp still enough to be a street contender. Drifting is a fad imo also.
Not to mention you would have so many headaches trying to get 500hp the ground, you would probly go through just as many tires then you would drifting.
