My needles light up. Has yours been like that since you got the car..or is it a new problem? It could just be that the lights are burnt out, loose, or hitting a ground or something..but I'm not sure. My friend said its not uncommon for 99's to have lights out in the guages.
I'd say..take you cluster out..take it apart to get to your lights..and check if there are bulbs where your needles are. If they are loose, just try tightening em. If theyre burnt out, you can get new ones from your local Autozone or Radioshack. Let me know if that works.

 

well when i bought the car they didnt light up at all but i supposedly got that fixed. but ill probably take that apart tomorrow and get back to you
