New Member Needing Some Input
Hey everybody, I will be looking for a new civic soon. I do alot of commuting going to school and work (mostly hwy driving). I am wanting a 2006+ Manual Trans. Civic. I really want an Si but I'm wondering if an ex or lx will be ok. I'm sure the R18 and 5 speed will get better mpgs than the k20 and 6 speed, but will it be a huge difference? Some si's around here are priced similarly to non-si cars.

I am sure if you drive the vehicles nicely, you will get decent mileage, if you rag on the cars, then mileage will drop significantly obviously. I am not sure what your actual question is. You want MPG info on R18's vs. K20's? The info is out there, just hop on google or wikipedia.org to find it.
Depending on the year/mileage/maintenance/body condition, I can definitely see some older 06-07 SI's being the same price as the newer 09-10 EX's or w/e else comes with the R18.

Thanks for the inputs and welcomes! I suppose the best idea is to drive both real good and see how I like them. In the end I think I would be happy with the R18, but I'm sure I can get in the low 30s with the si if I drive it conservatively.
