Default new to the tuning world

what goin on guys, my names tom. i just bought a 97 civic ex coupe a couple weeks ago. i really cant wait to get started on the performance aspect of my car. not too sure on what to do first(c.a.i, exaust, etc.) so if anyone has a good idea, please let me know. drivability of the car is amazing and it has surprising speed which i really want to increase. just came to the forums to meet some cool people and get some feedback on my ride.

What's up, Tom? Welcome to HCF. If you are looking for cool people and feedback, you came to the right place.

As far as what to do first, I would say an intake (AEM) is the first thing most people do, then a cat-back (GReddy), and then a header (DC or GReddy). After that, Man, the options are endless (almost). Do a search on anything that you are curious about. Just type in "97 Ex" or "CAI" or whatever. You'll be surprised how much you can learn doing searches and reading old posts.

I recommend starting out with a cold air intake, cat-back exhaust, then a header and high-flow cat, then upgrade your spark plugs, spark plug wires, then if you have the money add MSD ignition (you'll notice a big time difference with the MSD 6A ignition. Then after that you could start doing some internals like cam, cam pully, valve springs and valves, pistons etc etc..... like street sniper said the options are alomst endless.
